The tough biker Harley and his no less tough cowboy friend Marlboro learn that an old friend of theirs will lose his bar, because a bank wants to build a new complex there and demands 2.5 million dollars for a new contract in advance. Harley and Marlboro decide to help him by robbing the corrupt bank. They rob the Bank transport and get hold of an amount of a new synthetic drug. Now they are targeted by criminal bankers.
Forced by the imminent foreclosure of their friend's bar, two lifelong buddies will decide to rob a bank's armoured car, not knowing that its cargo is not money but a new street drug.
In much the same way as cigarette packets carry warnings and motorcycles can be lethal if in the wrong hands, this movie shows that being a &#39;MAN&#39; can sometimes be a tough proposition! There are few finer exponents of &#39;macho cool&#39; in Hollywood than Mickey Rourke and Don Johnson; they both have the same grit and craggy weatherbeaten air that suggests they&#39;ve lived a tumultuous life about ten times over; so there&#39;s surely no two better people to cast as a pair of cool, jaded outlaws? This is a movie that wears it&#39;s brawling credentials proudly on its sleeve, and acts as a kind of sad and ironic late goodbye to the unselfconscious action pictures that characterised the 80&#39;s decade. It opts to play its masculinity completely straight even as the viewers themselves are aware that it&#39;s faintly ridiculous. In that sense, it reminded me a whole lot of &quot;Road House&quot; - Good, cheesy fun.<br/><br/>It takes a special kind of skill to deliver what might seem risible dialogue in a deadpan way, and both Rourke and Johnson have it, which makes this film a really enjoyable experience, if by no means a masterpiece.
Or in this case, a DVD case. I read a few positive reviews on this movie and thought i&#39;d give it a shot. I should have listened to instinct. Better yet, I should have listened to the girl at the checkout counter at the rental store. It&#39;s hard to tell who gives the worst performance, Rourke or Johnson. Both are bad. The action scenes are bad, real bad. In fact, I can&#39;t find one thing about this film that I liked. Cliché after cliché, bad line after bad line, I thought it would never end. I somehow stuck it out as I have been known to give up on a movie when it&#39;s really bad. I should have given up on this one. I wished I had been able to catch this on TV. Maybe I could have saved my 3 bucks. Now i&#39;m out 3 bucks and 2 hours.

Due to the usage of a butterfly knife two scenes had to be cut in Britian in order to obtain a BBFC 15 rating. This censored version was later released on VHS whereas all cuts were waived for the DVD release which is also rated BBFC 15.
